New owner here, modding bug already itching.

Hello all. Im donavan, a new member and proud owner of a 2011 Chevy hhr 1lt. Its a 2.2 auto black metallic. Already blacked out the emblems installed a nice exhaust tip and shined up. Have a k&n drop in filter and pulstar plugs ordered and shipped, these are just to hold me over until I can order a cai, exhaust, and ecu. Im coming from a 2004 Pontiac vibe aka Toyota lol. traded it in and wanted something stylish economical and roomy. Drove this and loved it. Does anyone make pulleys and throttle body spacer or throttle bodies for the 2.2.

Sounds like your ready to get busy bigd, Welcome. Just keep in mind that some of the mods your considering could void your warranty. Many of us hold back on engine mods because of this issue.

to the forum Donovan, and congrats on your new ride!

Yup, you've got the modding bug already, its contagious.

A few years back there were some lightweight aluminum pulleys available for the Ecotec engines, but there were issues with them, including catastrophic failures at high rpm. Not sure if anyone even makes pulleys these days, I do recall that the folks who tried lightweight pulleys had no measurable horsepower increases to speak of.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I always keep my mods to bolt ons until the warranty is up, that way if issues arise I can return it to stock. Im looking forward to being an active part of the community here. I do all my own mechanical work and just really enjoy all things automotive.
