Hey all, just picked up an 08 Black SS. Traded in my 2004 GTO w cam and headers for it. Always been in love with these cars and happy to finally own one.

any reason you wanted to go with the HHR SS over the goat? I'd never trade in a goat (espcially with teh mods you listed) for an HHR SS!

 

It had problems with the tune and wasnt in the best of shape (rear seats ripped which was a common issue, my driver door speaker was cracked, steering wheel button broken, door dome light cover popped off. Plus I work about 40 mins away so 12.7mpg wasnt cutting it. Plus it sucked in the snow, the goat was a bullet but the HHR is way more practical not to mention the cargo room vs GTOs joke of a trunk

 

It seems there are others who traded in their GTO for an SS here. You just wait, you'll have company before you know it.

I would do the swap on MPG alone. My crappy MPGs are still 23-ish in the SS. Gas costs real money...

Hey Blue, I used to get 21-23, but tuned it and it gets 27 now, must be the added torque.
