Smile Noobie here in Fl

Just wanted to say Hello. I picked up a new HHR SS last weekend black (of course ) 5 spd, LSD, Brembo brakes, black/black interior have to get some pics soon. I'm having the Stage 1 kit installed today can't wait to see how it responds. Anyone know why on the HHR the Torque is only bumped up to 315 I thought it was 290/340 till I seen the specs broke down by vehicle.

This is FWD vs RWD of the Kappa cars and the Transaxle tends to break after 320-325 FT LBS.

The Kappa cars tannnys can take the 290 Auto and 340 5 sp.

Thanks for the info. I noticed the Solstice Auto was only 290/325 and the manual was 290/340 and figured it was due to the tranny but I would have thought they would break the HHR's down that way based on manual or auto, Oh well still a fun little car.

Well that sucks. Had the Stage 1 done today here at dealership and everything is installed went to program it and apparently you have to call Gm Techline and they are closed on Saturday so Left the car there till monday since it's recommended not to drive it and I'm 45 miles from home.

Sounds great. I wish the stage 1 was ready for the Cobalt SS.
