Talking One more from WA

Hi all, I'm a 2008 HHR LT owner since last Saturday morning, and I have to say I love it. I traded up from a well-worn Thunderbird that ran great, but you couldn't close the door from the inside, forcing the "Dukes of Hazard" vehicle entry method. I can't count how many odd looks I got from people who thought I did that because I thought I was 'cool.' Anyway, I'm glad to find this community. I've already learned a lot about the new ride from you all. Thanks!

'96 LX, which replaced the '85 T-Bird, and before that it was the '68 T-Bird with a back seat like a couch! I didn't trade it in for the HHR as I've got two years to fix it up before my daughter gets her license. She complained, of course, until we pointed out how little the Bird was worth, and what she could expect to get for that kind of money. Suddenly dad's old car didn't look so bad...

Dukes of hazzard style entry all the time huh?? I can only picture someone having to do that in a downpour or snow (as it continues to snow here) and chuckle.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody! The HHR is all stock as of yet, not even a nickname yet, but I'll make it mine slowly but surely...and I don't mean by climbing through the window
