Prospective HHR SS owner here in NW Florida.

Looking to buy an '08 SS tomorrow after I sell my 2009 Cobalt LS. Gotta have some more room for a baby, but still want something decently quick and still practical. Anyways, I've been lurking, doing some research and figured I'd introduce myself.

Welcome to the site.
Sheesh, I'm really up in the air right now. I've been looking at a 2017 Caddy XT5(cash off + GM employee discount) and I'm not sure if I want to trade in my 08 HHR SS or store it. The SS only has 39000 miles on it( totally rust free, in the snow belt and salt) and haven't had any problems with it since the GMPP install in 2009( Yup...had it soldered). I really love the car, it's my DD(still get 23 on the boost) although the wife keeps my foot off pedal.
Anyways, hope you find an SS that makes you happy...mine does.

Well, the first one I looked at looked rough and they wanted too much for it. Hopefully this other one I'm looking at comes through today. If not, I may have to get something else.

Feel free to throw up a link to a prospective SS if you are looking for some feedback on it. Mind you, some people don't like doing that in case someone else spots it, and snaps it up under you.

Good luck on your hunt.

From a fellow father I say congrats!!!! The HHR is the PERFECT size for a single child. Decent for two and, if you have three well I'd say MINIVAN TIME! HAHA I can fit my family (Me, Wife, and 19 mo. old son) perfectly and fit everything needed for any adventure we go on. He even has one of those big fancy car seats. Also, Keep your car seat behind the drivers seat so if needed you can fold down the right rear seat for even more room for "stuff"!
