Soon to be 08 LS owner

Hello all. I will soon own a 2008 LS HHR. It was my father's last car. My mom bought it for him for his birthday in 08 and he loved the car. He passed away from lung and brain cancer this past January. He loved that car though. He'd installed a stainless steel mesh grille and added custom wheels to it. The car is black. We installed fog lights on it as well. That's actually how I found this site. We were trying to find out a good way to make a bracket for the lights and found a write up here on how to modify the plastic fillers to install the lights. That worked great.

I'm in Texas and the car is still with Mom in WV. I hope to get it down here when I come back down after Christmas. I've driven the car a good bit and really like it. It's got a ton of room in it and will be well used.

to the site! Sorry to hear the circumstance that led you to get the car but at least it was something your dad enjoyed and now you can enjoy and have memories of him

Yea, I'm glad that the car is staying in the family.

As for the engine, I'm pretty sure it's the 2.2. I know they're good cars and very versatile. I'm looking forward to getting it down here.
