what's happenin'!

Hi everyone -

This is a great group with some really helpful info, so I'm officially jumping on board.

I've got a white 2006 LT that I custom-ordered from my local dealer because I am in the sticks!

Mods so far (boring ):

I blacked out the space between the rear windows to get that spray-bomb "Nomad" look and provide a decent sized area for my graphics (it's harder than it looks to get the windows to join smoothly). One afternoon spray-bombed my drums and calipers red. Last weekend I installed the leveling springs in the back and I'm getting ready to put on some 18" wheels.

In the future? I'd like to figure out how to actually fabricate a single rear side window . . . I've seen one on here somewhere.

I plan to add running boards, change to a rear roll pan and I'd love to figure out how to modify an SSR grill and headlights fit.

One of these days I'll cave in and make a couple of minor performance mods, but I'm not in too big a hurry - I love my gas mileage the way it is!

to the site, Tom! Good idea on the side mods...I've thought about the same thing, but the stamping design doesn't really suit the mod like on a PT Cruiser. Is this the one you're thinking of?

or this one:

The first one with the single side window is where I'd like to go, except I think I'll skip the rake angle on the front door and the wrap around the back.

You're right, the unibody doesn't exactly lend itself to this kind of mod.

I like the effect of the false window on the panel wagon, but I'm a bad enough driver already without completely blocking off my blind spots - I need windows!

No, it's not the unibody, it's that there are no body lines around the windows to properly do what you want. The PT Cruiser has embossing around the windows, lending itself well to this mod:
