IDK about you guys, but I need a change of scenery every 5-6 years... That 20/200,000 warranty SOUNDS good, but if you read the fine print, there has to be some insane restrictions on the maintenance schedule or something.

The first 10 years or 100,000 miles are covered by KIA, the next 10 years or 100,000 miles are covered by any ASE CERTIFIED shop. This warranty is for original owner only and has a $100 deductible. My wife keeps her cars for 6-8 years, but now that she is not working she will keep it as long as possible.

sounds like an aftermarket warranty that they just rolled into the price. not that its a bad thing there are some realy good ones out there but some are realy bad when it come to a claim my guess is that there are hoping you don't keep the car that long to use the warranty much.

I wish GM offered something like that. With my 3/36 ending in 5 months I am already looking to sell mine for something new-er (then again my HHR has been nothing but a problem child)

Glad to hear you found something that works for you. Make sure to read the print though and keep up with whatever it says. Warranty really is helpful to keep your stress down.

I'm actually considering stopping in the GM dealer in town and checking into the extended warranty through GM... I guess they have financing on it I could look into, so I'd pay a small amount each month or something. Don't know, but worth looking into. Heck, I probably couldn't even get approved for that now...

Extended warranty........ better off settin' the money aside and earning interest ( not much but better than payin' interest ) AND READ THE FINE PRINT!

Why extended warranty? Whats an engine gonna cost you? Compare that to what you're paying FINANCING a warranty.

Save your money and set it aside...

You don't want to turn your own wrench? Your screen name and signature alludes me to believe that you do just that. My mistake. To me, that would put your car enthusiasm and knowledge to the likes of a run-of-the-mill Top Gear watcher.
