go for the GT version, you get the 2.4 instead of the dinky toyota 1.8. They are a huge improvment on version 2

I test drove a 09 GT just before buying my HHR. I was totally disapointed with the ride, this thing rides harder than my Lowrider Blazer, the shifter is in the worst position I have ever seen, not enough power, but the worst thing was the steering it darted around (the roads in Mi. are about the worst you will ever see but you still have to have a stable car) with very little road feel. The one thing I did like was all the places to hide things, has a good stereo and the GT looks pretty good.

I almost bought an 09 vibe because I liked the looks and the way it drove, but the wife saw the HHR and liked it better. I didn't like the previous vibes, but this one looked much sportier.

In the end I liked the HHR better and bought an HHR SS instead. (Picking it up in two days!)

I looked at the Vibe in '06 before I bought the HHR. They were harder to find on dealers lots than the HHR.

I find it unusual that GM can take a "foreign" made car and improve it. Chevy's Geo Tracker was a piece of junk based on a Suzuki Sidekick which was a good car (at least the one I owned for seven years), Wasn't the second generation Nova base on a Corolla? Corolla good, Nova junk.

We test drove one when we needed a new car. My wife didn't like it at all, and the salesman was a sticker price dork. So.... did some research, fell for that evil HHR ad on Yahoo! and did some more research and a couple days later, I'm lovin' my VRed SS.
