2010 Camaro Cancelled

Got your attention, huh???

Well, not really. But production start up has been delayed about another month....to sometime in March.

The Camaro and Corvette forums each had the video of the announcement (was sent to dealers) but asked the dealers to remove the videos.

Cokey....you hear anything on this???

I was about to post the message from the one and only Scott Settlemire explaining that it's not cancelled. I heard it was supposed to start 1st quarter so IMO it's right on time.

Gotta get it right. It's not like the entire first year's production isn't already sold anyway. It seemed like they were kind of late with getting the production pilots out for testing for a February release.

Supplier problems

I just read in one of the business sections that a big time supplier of components for the new Camaro filed for bankruptcy leaving Chevrolet to scrounge around for another supplier at the last minute.

Agreed, the Camaro is not cancelled. One of the suppliers did go belly up, but the tooling was removed from the company(can't specify the Co. name). There could be a short delay, but the Camaro will be released in a reasonable time. Just not at at the Feb. date that was previously stated. My guy said he would be going in on Mon. for a more detailed report.

That was the smartest thing GM did. The G8 Sedan isn't even selling. The G8 ST would have been a hit if this was the Mid to late 90's.

Everyone either wants a Car, or a Crossover.
