From what I have been told by a reliable source, GM has NO PLANS for a future TA. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Until this person says so, I don't buy it for a minute.
Now, I prefer the looks of the new Camaro over the "New" TA. The Camaro lines simply flow. The TA looks like it hit steriods way to many times.
I currently have a 2000 TA Firehawk and love it to death. ( I also have an HHR SS)

That TA would never make it to production, but if they tweaked the current 2010 Camaro to be a TA, that would be awesome.
