Well this was interesting news. Meguiar's a 100 year old family business being purchased by 3M corporation. They must have something 3M wanted.

Well I love Meguiar's products, and I have a ton of MMM stock, so guess I am ok with it. I am sure Barry will continue with his considerable involvement with the hobby. He is just a wonderful guy, and we owe him a lot for his contributions over the years.

Maybe, except that my cost basis is about $23 per share and it pays a decent dividend. I occasionally try short term (even day trading) but I am wrong about as often as right, so I mainly just try to buy good companies for a good price and stick with them.

I really hate to see another family business gobbled up by a big corporation again, but that's how it is I guess. The windfall to the family should be a nice retirement, though.

No doubt, but he's the ultimate "Barry". That guy could sell ice to Eskimos with those ultra-white dentures and the airbrushed tan.

INteresting just saw it in my hotrod magazine so I decided to find and post it up for you all

 

3M is a top notch company. Hopefully they will continue Meguiars long standing reputation.
