I saw Sox and Martin at a Dodge dealer (1968)
It was a promotion for Chrysler and anybody could attend.
Got free booklets on how to set up S/S cars.
Also saw "Grumpy" at E-town (English Town NJ)
He made a pass with his 68 camaro and in the pits after the run a valve cover came off his big block.
All of us who were spectators were like bees on honey.
He walked into his trailer and came out holding something between his thumb and forefinger.
Held it up to show us and said "valve spring".
