7th Anniversary

Sunday December 3rd will be the 7th anniversary of the tragic deaths of 6 Worcester, Massachusetts firefighters. Two died trying to locate homeless people in a death trap, four died while trying in vain to save their friends. I lost a friend in that, and we all lost something when those six brave men died in that inferno. They were memorialized days later in one of the largest services ever conducted for a line of duty death. The service was attended by so many important figures, including then President of the United States William Clinton. From the first newscast to the discovery of the last body, I will never, ever forget it. I hope nobody else does. Those men, just like so many before them, and so many who will come after them, made the ultimate sacrifice for their fellow man.

When you step into church this weekend, please say a prayer for those men as well as all the others, and for those who put it on the line every day.

Thanks

Hey Firewatcher, its been 7 years , man hard to believe ....the site is a living tribute to the men that fell that night, I used to work just down the street from the cold storage building, I would walk by the site alot and was amazed at the fence that surround the site was always lined with t-shirts of different fire companys from all over the country and even other countries...its a very moving site.....
