Holmes...this is something that no one on the entire planet will ever forget.
It affected the entire world and showed that no matter how safe we think we are,
that somehow or some way we are shown that might just not be the case.

In memory of all those who were lost on this fateful day.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers until I leave this earth.
Thanks go out to all the people who risked their lives during this horrible tragedy
and to all the military personnel who are defending this great nation.

No farewell words were spoken,
no time to say goodbye,
you were gone before we knew it,
and only god knows why.

They had some great special programming on this year that talked about different aspects of 9/11. One highlighted the steel workers who helped to look for survivors/bodies in the pile. They talked about how doing this work had a long term physical and emotional affect on them.

Another was a story of one firehouse where all the firemen survived. It was filmed by a French videographer. They all just got out of the north tower right before it fell. One guy stated that he could have run in 3 different directions but he turned north which saved his life. To this day, he doesn't know why he turned that way.

Thanks to both of them for showing me some truly amazing stories.
