Alc Hhr

I had to go to a local dealership this morning to sign for two new fleet vehicles that arrived for my customers. The individual I deal with had another customer with him at the time so he just gave me the keys. I knew what area they were in and went searching. FOund my two cars and right between them was a very dust and pollen covered two tone HHR. No tags on it. Rear decal that read "American Luxury Coach". Through the thick covering, I could tell it was dark red on top of black. I glanced throught the window and it looked like a two tone leather interior (gray/darl charcoal I think). Carbon fider on the dash. Billet grill, upper and lower. ANd tripple port holes on the hood. I looked at the wheels and a nice set of 18" Foose wheels with 245/40ZR18 wrapped around them. Price tag for this hidded wonder was $28K . It is an 2006 model, but seems to have never been put on display. Poor thing looked bad sitting there like that. But execpt for the wheels, I would have walked by it if I was shopping. Paint was ok. Port holes, Looked way to PT with them. Plus port holes are for Buicks. Maybe cleaned up, I would like it better. But for $28K, no way.

They also had just unloaded a Golden Teal 2LT with polished wheels. Still don't care for that color.

Did it look like this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Sounds like you described this one!!!

This one was on Ebay a while back and I don't know if it sold or not.

I have grabbed pictures, of various two-tone painted HHR's, for ideas, good & bad.

Later,
Mark

Solman....

Did you ask anyone at the dealership about it?

It's not beyond dealers to "forget" or "loose" a vehicle.

I acquired on rent, a couple of Ford pick-ups from a dealer here (used for comparison testing). Rental was for a 2 week period. I called the dealer, for pick-up, 3 times after they sat at our facility for 6-7 weeks. They kept insisting the vehicles were not theirs. Finally got the owner of the dealership, and he looked into it. Called back about 2 hours later, really thanking me. Had a really strong, solid relationship with that dealer from that point on. Got any vehicle I wanted, cheap.

Oh, I bet the dealer is taking a "beating" on the floor plan. Should be able to pick it up, for cost.

You know, I think your right on that PT look. We all know it's a HHR, but if you were to just glance at it, I think you would get the idea that it is a PT. I don't know if it's the wheels, port holes or paint scheme, but IMO something makes it look like a PT. Man, I'd hate to be sitting on that one this late into 2007, someone is going to take a bath.

I asked the salesman I deal with on my Fleet vehicles about it and he just mentioned it was a conversion model. That was the first time I saw it from a distance. Today I was back there my my lonesome and got to browse around. So I took a closer look. That's when I got more info on it. I'd love to have those Foose's. The went right to the fender's edge.....

That's tells me of a good tire size to consider in the future.
