Any AMA members?

I was at the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) headquarters in Muncie, IN, last Sat. 08/11 for the Helicopter Nationals. Seen around seven HHRs out of like hundred cars. I didnt have any cards so if any lurking guests feel free to join and chime in if you were there. July's magzine issue of the AMA had a pic of a rental HHR being used to transport R/C glider plane. Before I traded in my plane for Helicopter it was nice to have HHR. That way I could transport plane without taking wings off.

I used to be a member of MAAC, basically the Canadian version of AMA.

Used to fly R/C sailpanes. Thinking about getting back into it, but I'd have to stop spending money on the HHR first

I didn't know there was such an association. Sounds like we missed a great meet. My dad builts lots of R/C planes, however, he's not too good at flying them. Hence, you understand why he builds lots of them!
