Anyone to pass it along to ?
you could clean and preen it all and put it together and relive the good old days!
you could sell it as a parcel or separately.

Greybeard- That is awesome that your Dad saved all that stuff. Seems like it was meant for you to have again.. Very Cool & Sorry to learn of the loss of your Dad.

I wish I knew what happened to all my /our stuff ? Biggest set up we ever had was on a 4x 8 sheet of plywood. Which at Christmas was also the place for the tree. & everything under it, like a tiny town.

Tracks back then were all custom made, and mostly by the same guy. They were custom built on location. Guy and his crew built them all over the US. Some still exist... Cars I raced were 1/24th scale, Group 20 and Group 22. Group 22 allowed hand built chassis and hot motors. We had to use silicone "glue" in the braking zones to keep them on the track.

I had an HO track at home, several buddies would come over for racing once a week.
That is the "exact" same track that was in my home town in the 60s. They also had a figure 8 track next to that one. The figure 8 was more popular as everyone could get a real feel which cars were the fastest. You could buy mods like engines, rewiring, fat slicks and brushes. Man those days are just imbedded in my head from over 50 years ago. Too bad kids today don't have such great things to do today. Of course, it would probably cost much, much more today.

Cokeybill- That frame looks familiar to what I had under my Cheetah. with the hinged front contact it could pull the wheels. With big foam slicks.

Yes, that allowed the brushes better contact on the track. It was a great design for the 60s.
