Blizzard

We didn't quite get a blizzard here in Hillsdale Mi. but with about 9-11 inches and very high winds getting around can be a little difficult. Alot of things are closed around here including some factories.

Last night, while out on a bus trip, it started. All sleet, everywhere.

This moring I woke up, went outside and found out that we have 2 inches of soild ice, covered by a light dusting of snow and it is sleeting right now. Here's what it looks like.

Nothing but sleet here on the CT shoreline. Schools were cancelled. I'm still going to work though.

Finally left my area with 6" of snow and sleet, and several side roads buried with snow drifts, including the road to my father-in-laws farm. The wind is slowing down this morning after a long period of 35 MPH gusts, so hopfully we are done with this. Can't remeber a year I have been this ready for spring.

It's odd though, December felt like fall, January felt like summer one day (Jan. 6th), then spring the rest, we hit February and it's like 15 degrees all the time.

This is the first snowish stuff we've had that has lasted more than a few hours. I'm sure we are due, but not much of a traditional winter here in CT. It has gotten cold though.
It was funny seeing my customers in shorts on certain days in January.

OK, we thought we were losing you for a moment!

I'm betting some of us wish Chevy had offered an All wheel Drive version of the HHR. I do.................

Times like these make me miss my Rav4. That little booger could really get around.
