I've made the equivalent of 'rice krispie treats' with Cheerios instead--quite good! I like the salty-sweet taste (mine are more gourmet, do not use marshmellows--bleh!).

When I was semi-living in the residence halls this past July, I would join my students for lunch or dinner--sometimes they had Capt. Crunch-krispie treats for dessert! YUMM!! Talk about sugar overload!
It is the current cereal of choice in my kitchen...love Cheerios!
