Areospace wannabe types created a large replica of the famed Star Wars X-Wing fighter and launched it in a desert. Fun for Star Wars fans and more

Yeah, I've been there a couple of times, by accident (was passing through on the way to San Diego). Saw some strange things going in the air and stopped. It's really an awesome sight because it's not far from the NAS and a lot of those guys also participate.

That was sweet while it lasted, lol. But it got alot farther than i thought it would have considering it had wood (which in my opinion would have weighed it down more) in it.
