And what year to year comparison did the Mustang out power the Camaro? No specailites, just GT verses Z28 (or whatever for that year). DOn't get me wrong, Mustangs are nice to me, I owned one for 13 years. But the Camaro always had the upper hand on power.

I've run 3 GTs(stock) against my HHR SS/w stage kit and haven't lost to 1 yet. Yet, they all seem surprised.

2010 Mustang doesn't look that bad, however the crappy, outdated V8 Ford Keeps using is only pushing 315hp.

I'd still take a Camaro if i had to choose.

like i said

how can you compare a car with a stage kit to 1 without ?.....i really like the new camaro ,but i think gm %^&*$! if they are charging $5000 over sticker....i just never liked any of the camaros except 67,68,69....but i also don't care for most mustangs , only the 67 , 68 , and since they restyled to look like those.....i was mostly kidding about the compitition , but most every car that wins a race has a ford rearend.....and people that drive fords are just better drivers

The $5K over sticker is for the idiots that just can't wait. I've still only seen 3 on the road.... Couple of month's they will have rebates on them just like everthing else.

Dozens of them on the roads here in Oshawa where they are made. As for myself, I still prefer a mustang.

Where? On the track or on the street? There's no way a stock GT is losing to an HHR SS/S1 with inferior gearing, weight, traction, and suspension unless the GT has an inferior driver. Not that I don't think you're a honest guy, Cokey, but timeslips or BS on this one...

BTW, GM is NOT charging anything over sticker for Camaros. That would be the dealerships that everyone in Congress suddenly feels sorry for because the campaign money is drying up. I think come winter the prices will be very negotiable.

I think Mustang will return to being the top selling pony car soon.. Like it was said the "hot car" is the camaro. But once Ford, lowers the price of the stang, it will be all over.. I remember the 4th gen's, you could pick up a v-6 Stang for under $18K, you couldn't touch a v-6 F-body for under $23K.

I've seen several 2010 Stangs around Orlando, and 1 camaro, when I was at the dealer while my HHR was in the shop. I talked to a salesman, the dealer has sold 13 camaro's but have recieved 5 so far.

GM has made a great looking car (can say much about perfromance since I haven't driven one yet), but they will need to get off the $8K "markup" for the new hot car, and lower the price to match with the Stang. People as a whole only care about how the car looks and price. Only someone who knows cars would really car about the performance of the cars.

Just my .02 cents....
