Yeah and that was the only goal the New Jersey Devil's player had made in three straight games.

Crosby is such a cry baby, remember how he cried when the Red Wings beat them in the playoffs, we do!

I would hardly call it a butt kicking, butt kicking is what the USA did the first game vs. Canada leading up to the championship. The championship was a well played game, could've went either way. Anyways you Canadians got to have something to cheer about.

I'm from Florida and as cold as it has been here lately that's the only thing you can do on the lakes.

The American win in that first game was hardly a butt kicking either. The score would have been 4-3 had there not been an empty net goal at the end. The Americans are lucky that the Canadians didn't tie up the game near the end.

In any case though it doesn't really matter what the outcome is in the qualifying round all that matters is the podium positions. Canada took the top spot and rightfully deserve that.

The US won the first game.
It was exciting due to it being the first time in 50 years.
The Canadians won the second game.
Somewhat exciting but disappointing.

Not much ass kicking in either of those games.
Very even.
US scoring 6 times in 12 minutes against Finland was an all out ass-kicking.

The true ass kicking will occur back on NHL frozen water.
Who was the jerk trying to smother the goalie in the Finland game?
That guy's gonna get it. WTF was he thinking?

I watched about 28/30 of the games.
The most inspired playing I saw was the last period of Latvia's last game.
That was pure heart.
