Car Insurance Limits

Car Insurance Limits
Currently I'm 24 and Engaged. My G/f and I are going to be moving out in the coming Months Finally!!! What i want to ask and i don't mean to get into your personnal Business right now i'm currently still on my Parents Ins. I still live at home obviously but im trying to switch coverage.
Now for the question's. My parents have Very Large limits on there's obviously they have a home thats paid off,Car's,investments etc. Starting out i know i don't need what they have. Im unsure of what limits would be good for me.
My G/F and I will be renting for atleast a year... Wedding is next year. So i will have no house that i could lose etc.
I know it depends on the Insurance Co. but people and different insurance companies have told Us that if its a certain time in advance they can write the Policy Stating Married. Which would help out a Great Deal.
Any Help would be great, Maybe there is even a Agent on this forum!
