Computer Issues
A new computer set up will be good to log in with, I use my IPhone 16 for my internet access, don’t have a desktop anymore, Sweetie has her MacBook Air laptop and her IPad. Maybe look into which ever type of device you like Android or IOS and change up!
The world of Windows is a mess. Microsoft is trying to push everyone into Windows 11 which everyone hates but they're claiming for security reasons and AI compatibility it's necessary. Hoping they figure out how to unruin their operating system.
If I needed a new machine I would consider the temporary measure of buying the cheapest reconditioned Windows 10 machine I could find, buying time until this mess sorts itself out.
I cut my teeth on DOS, so I find no joy in the Apple world either.

Sorry for late reply, this PC keeps dropping off..
A. Windows 10 is no longer "supported"
B. M$ has recently backed off fro forcing you to buy new hardware. They did not publicize it very much.
I am currently running Windows 11 on a 2006 I5 machine that I found at the dump. And an even older one I got for $15.
I also have 2 Odroid C2s, 2 Raspberry pi 4Bs a Raspberry pi 5B and a very old Raspberry Pi 1B all running =various flavors of Linux. And a 10 year old Server running Linux that I am currently in the process of retiring in favor of the RPi 5.
Not to mention a bunch of ESP8266 things running the blinds doors, lights and TV. And a few ESP32-cams watching the outside.
I have never understood how someone "breaks" a computer. I have had a couple of used hard drives fail, but they already had thousands of hours on them before I put a few thousand on them.
If you are bit adventurous you can get Windows 11 for free, Linux is free. I had pirated Windows 10 that upgraded to Windows 11 without a problem. If you already have Windows 10 it is free and easy to upgrade to Windows 11. Windows is getting closer to Linux by the day, most people would not notice the difference.
Not memtioning the free laptops piled up in the closet.
