As most of you know, I'm a huge NASCAR fan and part of that addiction is buying NASCAR related magazines. Well, I picked up the September issue of NASCAR Illustrated and was floored by a letter to the editor, so being the meek little lady that I am, I fired an email off to the magazine editors. This lady who calls herself a Dale Jarrett fan burned all her stuff when he announced he was going to Toyota.

Lo and behold, when I was reading through this months issue this morning, that I purchased last night...they actually printed my email in the magazine.

If you get this magazine, it's on page 24 of the November issue and title is Burned by Burning. (they titled it...I didn't) Anyway, below are scans from this ladies comment from the September issue and my comments from the November issue.

I thought it was cool too. I always read the Letters to the Editor first and go from there. When I saw that I told Henry...well, I'll be damned...my name is in this magazine. He looked at me and said you're kidding me...so I took the magazine over there and showed him.

 

That's really awesome Deb! I am kind of the same way, if I see something that doesn't hit me right, off I go and write letters to the editor. Keep it up!!!

Thanks folks...that just frosted my cookies when I read that so I just had to email and express my opinion. There is part of the page that I didn't get scanned...and that was a note from the editor saying that she had sent them her license plate and the photo you see is her actual plate that is now in the magazines possession.

I realize some folks don't like Toyota and that's fine...but in my eyes, my allegiance is to my driver...not the brand of car he drives.

Guess the same holds true with any sports fan. Just because the team is doing bad you should not stop being a fan. Sure upset and pi$$ed off but to burn everything. Come on now, I have not YET burned all the Az redbirds stuff. But I might soon if they dont move or start winning

way to go Deb ....for someone to go that far because he switched teams and make of car need some help....personally I have always been an Earnhardt fan (Sr then Jr, well all DEI drivers really) if DEI were to switch car brand I'd still pull for them and for the drivers that no longer drive for DEI I still like to see them do well....

its the driver not the car !
