IMO a wiser choice. But the rumor is the Camaro SS is going to be starting around $40,000. The HHR SS is okay but it doesn't have me rushing out to trade. If I want true performance the HHR doesn't seem like good starting ground even with a turbo. I might slap some parts from the HHR SS like the shocks and springs on my 2LT when they become available but that's about the extent of my desire for it.

 

Let's see.....If I can trade my car and get...........no that won't work. OK, I'll get a second mortgage.........no wait, I've done that. I'll cash in my 401(k).....no, too close to retiring now..........I could pimp myself out, but would starve to death.........I've got to figure this out.

I'd still just rather have a bolt on turbo (and not a rear mount).

 

I am going to see if my friends dad that works in parts can ge me one of these HHR SS book's, so I can look into it more.

 

I wonder what the back bumper looks like??

I can't wait to read in Car and Driver or Motor Trend the highly intelligent commentary that this is just another case of the HHR being a copy of the PT. I mean, everyone loves the PT Panel....wait a tic...

Sarcasm aside, this looks pretty mean. I doubt there is much of a market for it, but that makes me respect Chevy more for having the balls to put it out there. The safe play would have been a cosmetic package with maybe the supercharged Cobalt SS motor. It takes some guts to put the turbo motor in there with the 5-speed.

Does the brochure mention an automatic?
