Can you list one award they have ever won?

just curious
what a dipchit thing to say, what good is a grammy

they sell records and never get radio play, never get mtv time, and they sell out stadiums despite no major advertisement of tour dates, awards are "rewards" of being popluar another way to promote the next album or current one on the shelf. Slayer doesent need this and still makes The Billboard 200 #5 on August 26, 2006. This is more of an award than having to be a trendy band that needs record company promotion to stay alive. People get grammys and cant even tune a guitar.

Also to last 30 years in the music industry without anyones help but the music. hmmmm whos the real artists?

I found a little chicken down on his knees,
I went up and yelled to him,
"Please, please, please!"
He said, "Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Apple's got your fly."

I went down to the corner at a-half past ten,
I's lookin' around, I wouldn't say when.
I looked down low, I looked above,
And who did I see but the one I love.
She said, "Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Apple's got your fly."

Now, I went down to the beanery at half past twelve,
A-lookin' around just to see myself.
I spotted a horse and a donkey, too,
I looked for a cow and I saw me a few.
They said, "Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Apple's got your fly."

Now, I went down to the pumphouse the other night,
A-lookin' around, it was outa sight.
I looked high and low for that big ol' tree,
I did go upstairs but I didn't see nobody but me.
I said, "Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Don't ya tell Henry,
Apple's got your fly."

Dylan

He has written hundreds of songs and yes some of them make no sense but he has written many songs that have huge impact on american society.
Masters of War - about people making money off of wars
Blowin in the Wind - was a major anthem in the civil rights movement as was The chimes of Freedom. He is written about in history books . He is the most influential songwiter in the last 50 years. Very few people were writing song of any social or political importsnce until he came along and brought it into the mainstream.. On radio songs lasted only 2 to 3 minutes , then Like a Rolling Stone at Over 6 minutes made the airwaves. He made the first video , Subteranian Homesick Blues, which alot of people say was also the first rap song . He influenced the Beatles to quit writing pop songs and start writing about more serious subjects. He was the main influence in the fusion of country music and rock music. This is all i can think of , off the top ofmy head .This only takes up to 1970.

By who's account and what history books? I know he has never influenced me. Dylan wrote drugged out hippy anthems that made no sense. Lot's of people wrote social/politicaly important songs before him. You must have never listened to the blues.
