Gonna try one of the Harmonys...bought a Sony Universal remote to see if I could get things going on the cheap and it didn't work at all ...not even a blip....pay 14 bux and junk is what u get..back to Target!

Check with the cable company. Maybe your remote is a bit too old to accept the newer code.

Thanks for the tip FW...that got me thinking and with a little Google magic I was able to find the codes that work with my Comcast remote! Maybe a harmony in the future if I get a sound system but just being able to work the TV with 1 remote is all I need for now

I have the 1000 and it has replaced 5 remotes ands it works seemlesly. As long as you are good with tech devices, The initial setup could be a bit tricky getting everything timed.

I have the Harmony - it's about 5 years old, and works great except you have to get it on the charger just right or it won't charge. The charge lasts a long long time. Mine looks like an 880, but doesn't have the VIEW PICS button. It operates our LCD projector, Yamaha Receiver, DVD, but we operate the U-verse TV with its own remote. It has been very reliable. I just hold it up in the air and it turns on what I need.

IIRC there was a recall for that issue, and Logitech sent out new remotes for free.
