I like the "South East Gasser Association" for their gassers because they actually run them... This is a cool museum piece, but I want to see wheels up launches

I went to Don Garlits drag museum in Ocala and looked at the Hemi Under Glass.
It was a shame how people took small things off of the car.

A/FX was the start.
The first cars were supercharged and installed in steel body cars.
Altering the wheelbase was next, but the engine was still in the stock location.
Then came acid dipping the body and sheet metal (doors, fenders, truck lid).
At first no one had custom full built chassis.
Really if you want to look deeper, it was the gassers that started the funny car.
