The styling is typical for the segment, if they were badged as Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, VW, Subaru, et al, you wouldn't think twice.

I have to disagree. And out of the brands listed in this segment I would have to give the edge to Ford for their upcoming Focus (especially the 5 door) and Hyundai for their upcoming Elantra.
