To busy in the pits, getting ready for my next round. But when I did have time I watched the diggers!

You didn't answer the question.
My first time I went totally nuts !
Then I went into the pits to smell the fuel, no mask, no ear plugs.

No, I’m just always working in my mind, the next round, and I do wear hearing protection at the track.

So at 70 you still run a car ?
What type ? Pictures ?
Can't believe nitro didn't do your eyes or nose in when you first saw one fire up.
Do you have a relative by the name of Tom Burt that lives on LI NY ?
You talk a lot like him.

The fuel does burn but after a few trips to the track I got used to it, I’m 66, retired from drag racing in 1998, dirt track racing in 1992.
I’ve pretty much lost all my photos and trophies after 2 divorces , the cars we owned by my primary sponsors , Keenan Chrysler Plymouth and Dodge, then Jantzi Motors (a Ford dealership) and then Birdland Chevrolet, all here in Welland.
the dirt track big block modified was owned by Ray Stevens, driven by Flyin Brian Stevens. From St. Catharines, Ontario
Sadly both of them have now passed away

That's funny about the Top Fuel Virgin..

You wanna feel something, stand at the fence across from the christmas tree, when the Jet truck "Shockwave" takes off. That is a feeling deep in your chest.

Just down the front stretch past turn 4 at MIS when the Cup boys are running there, a freight train doing 200 mph , hang on to your hat! It’s a blast!
