Anybody else hear about this? I think it is a horrible move on their part.

There is lots of net chatter about the SVT groups getting vehicles right up to 2008. Where did you hear they cut the group?

Since bill ford is big on hybrids and stuff like that i guess he saw no need to continue. This is a hard hit b/c the muscle car is coming back with the camaro and challenger.

I don't think Ford cut the SVT program, I thought it was just going through some type of restructuring program. The 2007 SVT Shelby Cobra GT500 Mustang is about to hit the showroom. It wears the SVT badge and I doubt this will be the last year they make the Cobra. Not only is it one of the most beautiful Mustangs ever built but 500 HP and 480 ft. lbs. of torque for around $40,000 is a great deal.

this is really true
they are trying as hard as they can to be the standard again like it was in 65 w all the mustangs out and to try and compete w the Vette

so far it is working cept for the Vette, the Vette is just in a class of its own for alot of reasons

True, that is what the pointed out in the new C&D. They tested the GT500 against a C6 Vette. The Vette won of course because it is more of an all around sports car versus a straight line demon like the GT500 Mustang. Just for the hell of it they ran a 68 GT500KR against a 68 427 Vette also.

Man how I would have LOVED to have been one of the test drivers of those cars.
