Found Estate Sale while showing TXsman around N Dallas Area

I was showing TXSman around the area and i came across an Estate sale
had to look, really nice neighborhood, min house price 300,000 plus.

everthing nice had pretty much gone and this was friday cept a triple section dresser and mirror and an entertainment center,,, both Ethan Allen,, really nice and all heavy and hard wood. the furniture had a few scratches and already used some old english on them and all gone. rubbed in some oil and totally gone and it all looks really nice and new. pics do not do justice to the wood color and grain

dresser is 6.5 ft long, 21 inches deep and 34 inches tall.
entertainment center is 5.5 ft wide, 22 in deep and 4 ft wide.
both are very heavy,,, very

talked them down to $700 for both and paid cash for them. they had some guys delivering so it was worth it.

ive been wanting a better entertainment center and of course wife wanted a better dresser and this is better than any new stuff we had been looking at and for a lot less

here are the pics

Nice finds, Charlie!

Ethan Allen made some fine furniture. I still have a few pieces that are about 35 years old now. Unfortunately the U.S. furniture industry is going away like so many others. We had an Ethan Allen plant here in VA that closed about two years ago. Last week I had a meeting with the ex-plant mgr. and he said that much of the production is now in China. We've had a few other furniture plant closings in VA the past few years, too. Will we manufacturer ANYTHING in a few years??

The dresser is great looking, too! I had a Thomasville set many years ago that had a dresser was just about identical to yours.

Nice stuff!! BTW, since they're REAL wood and not laminates, they should be easy to repair any small defects and keep looking good for years.

Other question... The tuner-amp and speakers.... are they Sansui, by chance?
