I've been wearing Skechers while driving for quite some time. It has the heel rounded at the back, similar to these shoes.

Bill Simpson's (the founder of Simpson Race Uniforms) new company name is Impact, he has some very nice shoes to wear and drive in. He has a few stores around the country and a web site to order from. Helmets, uniforms, seat belts etc., and shoes for the driver and everyone else. I have used some of his products and I am very happy with them.
See ya down the road

I just bought a black pair of Prototipos today at the racetrack on sale for 20% off. They feel very comfortable from the quick try on. I usually wear Adidas Sambas for driving-or some similar light thin soled sneaker.

I've had a pair of Pilotis since spring. Comfortable for walking and great for driving (& playing with the 5-speed).

Nice shoes!

Don't know which Piloti you would consider, but I've seen certain styles of them in DSW for just a litle over half price.. You might want to look.
