Do you mean that the price is going up in anticipation of the hurricane season?
And then the summer, and you know winter will be right around the corner.
We are being gouged and just don`t want to admit it.
And the prices in my neighborhood are at least .25 more a gal..

There will be a spike in gas prices soon becouse the refineries will have to switch to a summer blend. Since out refineries are already running at full capacity, the supply will drop. To make matters worse, motorists are driving more due to better weather. It happens every year, you think we would be used to it by now, and understand it, rather than blaming a war. There are many factors that cause the price of gas to rise. Scaleguy hit it right on the head IMO. Back to the origional point, I paid 2.39 for premium this morning.

I think I paid $2.69 a gallon the other day. It doesn't seem like there was much of a price change around here when everyone was raving about gas prices going down. I think the cheapest I remember it in the past year or so in my neck of the woods is in the mid to upper $2 range, like $2.50 - $2.80. But then again I only use 93 octane so I have no clue what regular costs.

Fire's to refining plants, like the one that happened over the weekend, do not help the gasoline price situation either.
