I don't think it'll happen since there is an anti-trust law... not a bad thought but too much obsticles in the way.

I should start a new thread for this one, but what are some of the cars they would make? A Mustaro or a Camstang? An Explorehoe

I dunno about that, I think it would kick ass! Just as long as no one got the idea to mix OLD CAMAROS AND MUSTANGS w/ each other in some weirdass bodge job...

An alliance is not the same as a merger. The two may form an alliance, but not combine. I just don't see how that would be possible; with all the (American) sub-brands as well as European sub-brands for each. It would be like trying to merge the USA and Canada into one country. And I just don't see that happening.

Canada and US wouldn't be a merger it would be a hostile take over... HAHAHA! Kidding. I dont think that the antitrust would allow a merger to happen anyway. GM/Ford would have to much of the market cornered and could price gouge the consumer or drop so low they push away foreign car markets. But that would be one all consuming automanufacturer. You got GM, Ford, parts of Subaru, SAAB, Holden, Jaguar, Opel, Vauxhall, and MANY others. That would just be cuhrayzeee! But neat!

Yes but GM still has its fingers in that jar don't they? That's how SAAB got the 9-2x or whatever it was called. A fancy WRX wagon with different shell and badges.
