If there was any cause for GM to resurrect the Firebird on the new Camaro chassis, it's this!!!

Can Hollywood come up with ANYTHING original? I'm so tired of remakes and borrowed ideas. And from what I have seen, nothing remade can come close to the original. Come on Hollywood, but your pea brains together and stop making "new" TV shows and movies we have already seen. Back on topic, I don't understand why Pontiac wouldn't build a Trans Am with a retro look as the camaro. Just look at the success the Mustang if you want proof they will sell.

The only two currently manufactured cars I can see in this show would be either the new Blue Devil Corvette or the Mazda RX-8. Either that or the producers would have to forego the biggest product placement since the original series and bring in a car that's only available overseas, like the new Holden Monaro, or have a special car built for the series.

The Jay Leno EcoJet concept would be a cool car to base the new KITT on.

Ummmm...I have read in a magazine (AUTOMOBILE) that GM WILL resurrect the Firebird, Pontiac is currently working out all the bugs on it, and they say the new Firebird will start production a few months after the Camaro goes on sale. :)

what GM should have done was retroed the camaro 8 years ago and poop canned that ssr!! if im gonna drop 40 grand for a gm its gonna be on a vette with a v8 not a truck with a v6 and no haulin capacity DUH!?
if they would have made a new camaro that looked similar to the 68 with all the new brakes, interior, motor and trans, etc of todays vettes and other v8 models they would be out selling mustangs!! jmho!!

It will be interesting to see if the Firebird is resurrected. Among others, it will compete directly with the Camaro and, GM management, in a few separate statements have indicated they would not introduce vehicles that would compete against each other (they're afraid to discontinue GMC because of the customer loyalty base).
