GMC Terrain, HHR'ish?
GMC Terrain, HHR'ish?
Just saw a commercial for the 2011 GMC Terrain.
The front fenders and quarter panels remind me of the HHR lines.
The HHR's Replacement?
I did a "search" for gmc terrain first before posting this and found nothing so if it's a repost, Sorry.
GMC's were always more truck like in appearance to me and this one is no different.
I like the HHR's Looks better and could have seen some of the Terrains features integrated in the HHR if Chevy(GM) hadn't pulled the plug on the HHR so soon. A 2nd generation HHR perhaps.

The Terrain is not a HHR replacement and any similar styling is just by chance. GMC was really trying to copy the fender flairs on Chevy and GMC trucks.
All they were doing is trying to make a CUV look more truck like. THe HHR was also based on a truck so this is why they meet.
The Terrain is a Nox in GMC styling. Most future GMC trucks and vehicles will be much more different than the Chevy they are based on.

While I think we all know it is not an official replacement, I think it is the closest thing available to come close to a HHR.
I thought it was fugly when I first saw it but it's growing on me and my wife enough to put it at the top of our list when it's time to replace her HHR. (88k miles and counting!) Options, size and performance are hard to beat for the money.
