G.M. Posts Profit as Sales Rise 40 Percent

DETROIT — General Motors said Monday that it earned $865 million in the first quarter, its first profit since 2007, after last year’s government-sponsored bankruptcy allowed the carmaker to wipe away many of its longstanding obligations.

Well this is good news but keep the party favores put away for a little longer.

GM needs to get the IPO done and the buy back of the 61% from the goverment. While doing this they need to string together more quarters of profit.

This is not going to be easy but it is very doable.

This is only the 2nd inning gang and we have a ways to go but right now we are one run up.

The big key is also for GM to string together more cars like the Equilnox and others that will bring in needed money. I only hope the Cruze proves to be a hit. It may not be as strong as the Nox but if it is anything close it will bring in much needed money.

Turining a high volume model like the Cobalt into a money making Cruze will be a Bonanza for GM.
