Gold Line lowering springs on SS

I recently bought my SS and I had the gold line coil overs from my LT1....I was curious to see if they fit and if they would even lower the SS....On Saturday I tore into it and have put the gold lines on the rear....They actually lower the SS an extra Inch. I have yet to do the fronts waiting for some money so I can afford the alignment...OH and the fact that there is snow already packed into my wheel wells....So I just wanted to let everyone know they work with SS and they lower it another Inch!!!!

I may be the only one, BUT, if Chevy spent so much time getting the performace, both power and handling, right, why mess with it?

that's what i have been thinking...i suppose it doesn't matter if you're the type who buys a car like the SS for the sake of having the best model or whatever, and appearance is more important than all-out performance. not saying you necessarily are, but it seems to me like that'd really be the only reason for negating GM's R&D time/money finding the right ride height and spring ratio for the best blend of performance and practicality (after all, it is still sold as a street driven vehicle, not PURE race). though i am still interested in seeing how it looks lower than it already is. i personally wouldn't do it though, i am already dang close to scuffing my nose on parking blocks and short curbs.
