Angry Good Friday=Let Go Friday

Hello All,

I have sad news. I lost my job today. I was let go. It’s kind of my fault. I had some personal issues in my life that did cause me not to focus on my work. With dealing with my father's tragic death and a civil lawsuit against me, and I was more focus on staying away from the law’s hands. In which things are better now. My recent job required a person to work from 7:30 a.m. To 5:30 p.m. 9 hours of work and 1 hour of lunch. With 45 minute drive each way. I was driving almost 60 miles a day. My car is 8 months old with 11,500 miles driven. So no more working in New Jersey for me. I'm now looking for a job in Manhattan. It would be cheaper and easier taking in the express bus instead of driving my baby to and from. I liked the people that I worked with, but It did not take me long to realize that I did not like the work. I’m thinking very positive right now. It’s no the first time in my life that I was let go from a job. This next job is going to be something that I like. I can relax for a bit. Collect some unemployment. Which would help a bit. Last time I was out of work it took less then a month to find something. I will keep you guys posted. I have experience in Computers and a Degree in accounting.

Michael

Sorry to hear it Michael, but I'm a firm believer that every job is a stepping stone to your next one, so look at it as a move up! I'm sure someone as talented as you will find a great replacement position in no time.

Best of luck - and know that we're all rooting for you!

That sucks! I'm sure you'll get another job soon. From what I understand there are tons of jobs in New York City. You just have to find the one that is right for you.

Sorry to hear about your loss Michael. I have been there more than one time and all worked out for the better for me and I am sure it will do the same for you. Have you considered the Casino business? With a degree in Accounting you might be able to get a real good salary. I must warn you though, the gaming industry is pure H*&^%! I have worked it for over 12 years and at my age would like to get into a real job. Unfortunately the pay is not there right now so I will stick with what I am doing. If you would like more info on Casino jobs send me an email I will be glad to share with you from my experiences. My email is jwolfe99@cox.net.

That really sucks, especially with up the coming holiday. But seeing as your a "glass half full" type, you'll get a new job soon.

Sorry Michael, There is a purpose behind all this and I am sure it will work out for your good. I will pray for you and may you find peace in this. Every time God shuts a door their will soon be one open. Keep on keeping on my friend.

I totally agree with you Holmes. The job that I had was not for me. Plus I had other issues in my life that were more important. Now that I have resolved my issues. I can focus on something new and better
