i heard that the guy or person that designed the pt was very young , just out of school , and that it was his/her very 1st design , and also that it was not very well done. i can not remember my sources , i heard this a long time ago when the pts just came out. i'm not saying my sources are correct. also , i don't see anything pioneering about the pt . or the hhr.

can't say im the least bit sad to see the PT cruiser go.. just wasnt ever a fan of them..and get offended when people ask "You drive a PT dont you?".. oh , people just dont know their cars anymore.. its funny cause sometimes you can ask someone.. "what you drive" .. n they are like a ford, or chevy, ect... Dont even know model or year sometimes.

i liked the PT when it first came out since it was different from everything else out there. But as i started seeing them every time i took a short drive, it made me like them less and less.

All things come to an end. They had a nice run with them almost 9 years for a model is pretty good IMO. They came out with the dream edition it is at the NAIAS:

I hope your correct Tom about the HHR staying around for awhile. With the economy the way it is you may very well have hit the nail on the head.

thanks , for the info. i hope what heard was wrong. i do think that the ECOTEC engine is kind of pioneering -(for a chevy)- , the hhr frame and suspension look pretty good also. i've never looked at a pt ,-,or wanted to.

I really like that color. I'd like to see an HHR in it. A neighbor of mine has a BMW MC that color, sharp as nails.
