Talking Got Settlement On My Honda

Well...finally got the deal closed on my 84 Honda that was wrecked a couple weeks ago. American Family totaled the car, as they determined that it would have cost @ $6,300 to fix it and that far exceeded the value of the car.

They came to the house today and I signed over the title and they gave me a check for $3445.75, which included $190 for loss of use of the vehicle since the day of the accident. I told Henry we would use no more than $2000 of that for a replacement vehicle, which covers our initial investment. The rest will be set aside for mods to "Smoke".

Things on the wish list for the HHR now are:

1. Anti-sway bar
2. Triple Lake Pipes
3. Med Burlwood Dash Kit

Thanks to all of you who supported me through all of this and put up with my anxiety and somewhat short fuse. It really helped to be able to share what was going on with my HHR friends.

That is good news, but bad as well.
Good your Insurance just went down and you more cash for Smoke.
Bad because you lost a nice ride.
Tell Henry that $2000.00 is a nice downpayment for a HHR.
Wait a minute,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,You gave him money for getting your car totaled?

Can't afford another HHR right now, but we should be able to get him a decent little around town car for that. And trust me...the $2000 is not a gift.

Bettie...the mods I can do myself will definitely have a ladies how to.
