Greetings from Wisconsin!

I've been lurking for a while now. We drove an HHR rental last year while on a trip to Yosemite NP. Very cool little car, solid, handles nice, and we've wanted one ever since. We were hoping to look in August, but our Cadillac just died and I don't want to stick any money into it. So tonight we're looking at a Summit White '06 LT with 7800 miles on it, practically new. Its pretty loaded, 2.4, running boards, chrome accents, sun roof, and just about all the other toys we want. But no leather .

How you determine if its a 2LT? I don't recall ever seeing one on the road that had a 2LT logo on the back. I searched but couldn't find any specific info for that option package.

Chuck

Look for code "FE1" or "FE3" on the plaque in the glove box.

If FE1 (touring suspension), then 1LT...........if FE3 (sport suspension), then 2LT.

Also if you submit the last 6 of the VIN # and year in the following thread, Pitts can tell you a bit more about the HHR.

BTW.........Have you seen Marty around?

The wheel size and the suspension will determine if it's a 2LT. Only 2LTs are outfitted with 17" wheels and the sport suspension.

Welcome! My money's on it being a 2LT. Now you know you can have the interior upgraded to leather pretty easily. Would be worth looking into.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, we bought it, and yes, its a 2LT. Aside from leather and a CD changer, this thing has just about everything we could want on it. What a sweet little ride. We haven't even had it a full day and we love it already.

Tim, thats an interesting thought, upgrading to leather. I may consider it at some point.
