Guess we are moving.
Guess we are moving.
So I went ahead and took the job in American Fork UT. Ive put in my notice for my current job and in the process of packing ever thing up. The pay isnt great(only $8 an hour down from my current 12.82), but at least its something and after 60-90 days I'll have insurance again. I really tried to get on with the mines around here that pay $20 an hour plus great benefits but oh well life moves on. Crappy part is I'll be living with the inlaws for awhile till we can get back on our feet(and hopefully stay this time, 3rd times the charm right?). Anyways just thougth I would see if any one is around that area. I know theres a few in UT so hopefully we kinda set up something and hopefully I'll get to keep the car for awhile but thats even still questionable at this point.
AFter one or two false starts
I believe we found our stride
And the walls that won't come down
We can decorate or climb
Or find some way to get around
Cause I'm still on your side
From the bottom of my heart

Hang in dude, I'm 58, been there where you are, it don't last long and in 10 years it ain't even a footnote in your life.
Been there done that. After losing my job we sold our home in Indiana and moved back to my parents home in Michigan. We went from 3 cars to 2. Then to add salt to the wound, Chris lost his job so we were living off what little you do receive from unemployment. We were able to keep our head just above water and have retained our excellent credit. Thankfully, we are both back to working even though it is at a much lower pay and alot more hours than what we were used to. The goal now is to be completely debt free by the end of next year and to stay that way
Be strong
It's not fun but you can do it.

Yep, lost my job last year and took me 6 months to find my current one. Took a 1/3 paycut, and am way over-qualified for it, but at least it is in my field (counseling at a university). Am grateful for a job as it pays more then unemployment -- I turn 49 today, so it is nice to have health insurance, and it will keep me going until i finish my PhD next May.
I'm still looking for better paying jobs, but at least there isn't the panic of before.
Good luck!

Been there, done that
I feel yer pain! I had to move my wife and newborn son from our house (which we moved back into eventually) in Ohio to my parents in FL...had to move where I could find some work. It definitely wasn't a planned move but it worked out in the end. Worked 60hrs/wk and spent the rest of the time looking for a job back in Ohio. Now I'm a recruiter/head hunter and spend all my time looking for people
I'd be glad to help anyone else that is in the same position and looking for work. Mostly technical work. PM me
