Went to the local dealer by mailed invitation to celebrate. Went with my daughter saw a couple old vettes, and the "memorabilia" was a choice of a 100 Year Chevy mouse pad OR key chain. No shirts, no hats, just some stinky cookies. All that hype and nothing interesting.
When I turn 100, I'll buy you guys a shirt with a picture of my HHR on it. Your choice-Black, or Black.

My first car was a '55 Ford, andt within a short time me and a couple friends dropped a 53 Caddy engine in. MY first Chevy was a '57 210 2 door (wish I still had it) V8, Powerglide.
Had many after that, 61, 63, 66..switched to Mopar for one, had a couple other competitive brands...switched back to GM and had many Chevys and other barnds under the GM banner......never regreted it.

Happy 100th B-Day Chevrolet
My first car was a 1953 Chevy 210 Deluxe, 2 door w/ 3 'on the tree'..
Had only 18K on the 235" straight 6, but had spun a rod bearing from the owners' Grandson over-revving it.. So it didn't run. Guess Dad figured that would hopefully get me interested in vehicles & mechanics, as opposed to street corners & smoking cigs..
I was only 14 yrs old.. And I did get me very interested..
I worked for my Dad after school & weekends to pay for that car..
When I was closer to 16 yrs old, we pulled the motor, yanked the crank & had the spun rod journal turned (ground) & the rod fitted for an O.S. bearing.
That was a fine car..And one I wish I still had..
This pic is NOT of mine, but the colors are exactly the same & etc..Just for a visual..
PS: My Dad always had Ford Trucks..

Several Chevies in my family history. I took my DL test in our '55 Nomad, which my dad purchased new. White over turquoise; 265 V8. He claimed that after he bought it, people would walk up to him at stoplights and ask what it was. In college I had a '62 chev SS convert (327/250 hp); light yellow...top, seats; a real babe magnet. My dad also bought a '62 Chevy II (POS 4 cyl) and a 67 Corvair (REAL POS!).

Remember that the first car when I learned to drive was my dad Chevy Celebrity '89 when I was 14 (at 1994). Remember when every time that I press the gas pedal, I had the feeling to release a beast... That was very powerfull that car (I was a teenager)...
