Headliner Material

Hello All,

First post here. My mother has an HHR. Borrowed it while the squids stayed with her for a week last summer and we left the 'Burb for her as four squids, her and the cousins didn't fit comfortably in it. Loved it, got great mileage(compared to the 'Burb), but just too small for our needs. Great little machine though.

This brings me to my question. I liked the headliner material. I want to cover the headliner and visors in my '87 Regal.

Anyone know where to get the material?

TIA

At one time dealers had a technician who handled all the trim material repairs such as sewing seats and replacing fabric. Since their is so few of those type repairs, that type of work is outsourced to trim/upholstery shops. Every dealer uses one. Call a local dealer and see who they use then give the shop a call. They have all the sources for buying interior headlining and seat material.

Also try places like JoAhnnes...if you have one near. They purchase a lot of "end bolts".

3 years ago I purchased the headliner material for a Malibu and redid my S-I-L's car.....2 "gremlins" eating ice cream, etc. in the back seat. The material was an EXACT MATCH.

I just reused the original headliner backer board, peeled the OEM material off, cleaned it, placed the new material over it, glued it down working from the middle out (3M spray trim adhesive), and trimmed to fit.

Thanks, I guess I'll get on the "horn" and try and scare up a source from the local dealer.

I really liked the material used in my mother's HHR. It seemed to be more durable than my original fabric. Haven't tried the local fabric retailers but it is on the list of places to try.

Audi, Volkswagen, and Mazda use the same stuff as well.
