Help --- I'm being taken prisoner

by a deranged madman!! I know I married him, but I don't recognize him... he's working, like a crazed animal...

It all started with us finding a box of hockey pucks, a collection he started BEFORE the Ducks took the Stanley Cup...before he became a rabid fan...

He decided to make a little shelf in the computer room to put them on, then it had to be red oak, then he had to make a matching sill for the window below it. Then he couldn't open the file cabinet drawer into the sill...

But we need the space, or did we? Or did we need the other little file cabinets, or that 3rd computer system on the same wall -- and did we need to store paper in 3 different places in the room, etc etc...

And then he decided his 3rd desk for the 3rd system wasn't serving him right and he threw that out too, and starting cutting off tops and making shelves and a hutch and gluing, clamping, and generally making what was the LAST CLEAN ROOM in the house match the REST of the house.

Right now, he's over in the corner, covered with wires, sorting, muttering, and he has a wild glint in his eyes again...uh oh, heading out for the vacuum cleaner...

I just finished repainting that end of the room (a bit) and washing walls and baseboard, but it seems that whenever I stand up, I'm suddenly standing right where he needs to be.

Ohhh God, he needs another area painted....HELP~~

Sounds like one of my projects. I think his actions are pretty normal for guy. I'm about to get started on a box to display my Pick of Destiny replica and Tenacious D tarot cards. Let's see how involved I get in that and how pissed I can get my wife with it. I think it needs to be lighted with red LEDS in honor of the metal!

Get him a HHR and he will be out of the house. You might not see him for a long time

Howdy - I don't even know what those "collectibles" you are talking about ARE! OOOOOOOOOOOOOh wow - we just found his DUCKS pin collection...

This is the last day before he goes back to work, after vacations and flu, and we are PACKING the work in. He's building outdoor furniture, re-screening dog-eaten doors, and endlessly sorting bins of stuff. What he doesn't want to deal with is now covering my desk...I had to dig out my keyboard and mouse!

How many kinds of headsets does a human being need??

We have enough pens/markers/scratch pads/staplers/staples for the next 20 years - paperclips, ack, who uses PAPER PUNCHES -- we have 3!! And now it's me who won't throw them out.

LoL! To funny I feel for you, my wife has a serious fabric addiction. Our 2800 sq. foot home contains enough fabric to cover three bedrooms wall to wall floor to cieling. Roughly 3216 cubic feet and growing, I feel your pain.

They are from the greatest most rocking band of all time Tenacious D. They made a movie not to long ago call The Pick of Destiny and if you bought the limited collectors edition of the soundtrack it came in a special box with a unique 3D cover on the CD, a poster, 8 D tarot cards, and the Pick of Destiny itself. I've always loved The D so I love the film. It is the greatest rock film since This is Spinal Tap. I highly recommend it if you don't mind hardcore humor and them dropping the F bomb and its variants at least like 60 times in an hour and a half film. There are some awesome songs in it including the greatest rock opera style song ever Kickapoo. Kickapoo is sang by Jack Black, Meatloaf, and Dio.

SO DID I!!!! But I do remember DIO -

UGH - I love fabric too, but have REALLY cut back lately. I use it or Ebay it now, except for some. But I keep some of everything I make so I can make a memory quilt in my TWILIGHT YEARS

Hey, we are DONE...

This past week+ since we got home from vacation has been rough, being sick, and then getting well and going on an eating bender... and then he suddenly had to face that NOTHING had got done.

So we quickly went to see Harry Potter, Transformers, and started working on the house...well, he worked and I cleaned around him and used my secret weapons --- doubt, mistrust, comedy & the veto power...

Anyway, here are the results of the weekend:

Isn't it cute? Both ends come up so you can lay facing side by side, end to end , or just nap on it. It's big - on an 8x10 ft deck!!

Puck collection - already running out of space!

This unit got taken apart, shortened, the keyboard drawer taken off, and re-assembled. He had already done mine a few months ago.

Well, photo snapped before I took out the trash - but I'm all spic and span too FINALLY.

Pretty cool, sill, huh - basically, he did it to keep the cat off his keyboard

This was done with a huge desktop from one old desk, cut and made into a narrow one with a hutch thingie, and then screwed to two rolling file drawer units. You would not believe how much better that side of the room looks! I should have had more faith!!

Oh, and just to prove that our screen door is fixed, this time with PET SCREEN and a wire panel...
