HHR maximum capacity!

I came back from college for my summer vacation so naturally I had to fit all of my junk into the HHR. I had the back filled with the seats folded down and the Thule box full. She took it like a champ but it did scrub on the bigger bumps

I had to pick up 24 banana boxes for work. Each box weights 40 pounds, talk about a low rider. I was glad I didnt have the lowering kit. I think it might have messed up my suspension in front. I makes a weird sound going over a dip in road.

Darn, I forgot to get pictures of my son's stuff. We weren't up to the roof but had to put the bicycle on the back.

I warned him in advance to limit what he took to college because the HHR would hold a lot less than the minivan. So he took his golf clubs but only one pair of shoes. Is that a practical teenager or what!

I don't know if there is already a thread like this, but I was wondering what the biggest thing people have carried in their HHRs was. I bet people have carried all kinds of weird stuff.

It's really cool to see these HHRs packed to the ceiling.

weird things packed

I got weird... went to the coast a few weeks ago, about a 2 hour drive give or take a lil...

I had 2 boxers in the back, a dog bed, their bowls.. back seat, was 2 kids and a chihuahua, hub and I in the front seats... in addition to this, on the way back, we had no room because of course we went to the shell shop bought a few new shells, some candy, jaw breakers, fudge, divinity, and get this, manhattan style pizza in the spare tire area, that took almost every inch of space in there (HUGE FRIGGIN PIZZA )... which is underneath where the dogs rode home... I thought we'd never make it home with that pizza in 1 peice, those poor puppys had to smell that the whole way home...lol
